what's in a name?

for some, its nothing...

for most, its everything...

from name, you can tell the difference between people. you can identify every single thing that exist in this world.

some of us will use the name that their parents has given to them and some, for whatever reason it may be, will use different name and wants to be known by that name

as for me, i've been using my own name since the very beginning of me knowing how to write things and know the alphabet

indra gunawan bin pardi is the name that's written in my IC

in my birth certificate, my full name is Muhammad Indra Gunawan Bin Pardi

my mum gives me the name because when she's still conceiving me in her womb (maybe on the 8th or 9th months of pregnancy) and at that time she's watching Thomas Cup (badminton) and Indonesian national player - Indra Gunawan is playing at that time. she told me that she can felt me kicking her belly from inside. and that's when she decided to named me after that badminton player.

then why from Muhammad Indra Gunawan Bin Pardi becomes Indra Gunawan Pardi only?

its my mum again...

she thinks that my name is too long

so, she takes out Muhammad from the application form for IC, and all other official matters. she did this when i was still 4 years old

so until now, my name is just Indra Gunawan Bin Pardi

ardnie is my name, inverted, spelled backwards with additional 'e' at the back. to make it looks more friendlier. Indra=ardni (ardni + e)

i've been using this nickname since i'm 12

this name is the reason behind so many happenings in my life. caused loads of sadness, grieve & pain in my childhood and teenagers.

but hey, that's all my past.. its all behind me already and i have no intention to flip back the pages on my history. i pretty much has developed a very thick skin now. able to resist the things that i cant previously...

so, that's the story behind my name larh...
